Yumna Ekram is the founder of Assistive Engineering Solutions and a Digital & Social Accessibility Consultant, Researcher, and Inclusion Advocate. With an MCS in Computer Science and nearly a decade of professional experience, her work has spanned digital and physical accessibility, accessibility audits, assistive technology, digital literacy, accessible learning, research, advocacy, and training.
As a woman with blindness who chose to pursue computer science, Yumna's own journey has shaped her understanding of the barriers people can face in accessing education, technology, and meaningful participation. This perspective has also informed her work with women and persons with disabilities through technology, skills development, advocacy, and community engagement.
Her research and advocacy work has included working with STEP in collaboration with UNFPA to understand accessibility barriers faced by people with disabilities in gender-based violence services, as well as training women with disabilities to identify local issues and engage with relevant government departments.
Through AES, Yumna brings her professional experience and lived understanding together with an engineering mindset to explore practical ways of identifying and addressing barriers.

Isi perspective ne technology, skills development, advocacy aur community engagement ke zariye women aur persons with disabilities ke sath unke kaam ko bhi shape kiya hai.
Unke research aur advocacy work mein STEP ke UNFPA ke sath collaboration mein persons with disabilities ko gender-based violence services tak rasai mein darpesh accessibility barriers ko samajhna, aur women with disabilities ko local issues identify karne aur relevant government departments ke sath engage karne ki training dena shamil hai.
AES ke zariye Yumna apne professional experience aur lived understanding ko engineering soch ke sath mila kar barriers ko samajhne aur unhein address karne ke practical tareeqon par kaam karti hain.
